All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance information, charges, and your obligations for the rental. In cases of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Weybridge, drivers must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle selected. A valid, full driving licence is required, held for the duration specified in the Rental Agreement. Additionally, valid identification, proof of address, and payment details, including a security deposit, must be provided. Any further criteria outlined in the Rental Agreement must also be met.
3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Weybridge office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT when applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment processors.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties to confirm the vehicle's state. You are required to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was provided, accounting only for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged appropriately. The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as at collection; otherwise, refueling fees will apply. If you anticipate returning the vehicle late, please notify us as soon as possible to avoid additional charges. You are accountable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges incurred during the rental, along with an administrative fee.
Insurance and Liability Overview
- Every car rental includes basic third-party insurance. Comprehensive coverage information and excess amounts are outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability. Review these options closely. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless additional coverage is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, irrespective of insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle:
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities or purposes. This includes racing, off-roading, or any actions that pose a risk. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting to others or allowing unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Ensure that the vehicle is used within its intended design, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Additionally, any driving outside the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Weybridge is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
